I Fail At Life, That's Why I Became An Artist.

So THIS happened. For those of you who don’t want to read the link, Barneys NY and Disney are teaming up to make a high fashion short film using the Disney characters. What they have shown us so far is grotesque. The characters were elongated to fit the runway standards- which doesn’t really bother me. What bothers me is that runway models specifically are thin and flat chested so that they don’t imprint too much on the pieces they’re wearing, but in order to try to fit the fashion theme these characters became so gross that I can’t see anything but the disturbing frame under the clothes. So- basically the exact opposite of what you’d want. I’m also a little freaked out by the fact that they’re just people under the heads. Look at Goofy’s hands.

Anyway, when I got home I decided I wanted to tweak these guys into something a little less terrifying while still trying to keep a more high fashion silhouette.
